going to movie theater tonight.....help.... lol

I can do it, I can do it, I can do it. I <3 popcorn. the smell, the crunch, the taste, the salty buttery residue on my fingers. BUT I will resist tonight. Trying to think of what I can put in my purse to take with me that will allow me some guiltless munching while watching Finding Nemo 3D! Yes, the kids will be allowed to have the popcorn. We don't do this often. I thought about a baggie of grapes, besides that I am drawing a blank. I have ate very well today so far and have 800 calories to work with lol. what do you think?

I'm thinking maybe you need something crunchy since you mentioned that you like the crunch. How about some fat free wheat thins or something similar? Or, can you sneak in some healtheir popcorn?

Unless I'm feeling very strong that day I just go ahead and order a popcorn - order a small without butter rather than a large with extra butter - and consider it one of my cheats. Then makeup for it the next few days with some extra exercise.

The sugars in fruit are sometimes counter productive to me when trying to resist the carbs that I really like (e.g., fries, popcorn, chips). I might suggest you put a little protein in the purse (a string cheese stick, a small bag of nuts). Or did you know that 16 slices of turkey pepperoni only has 70 calories? I sometimes toast them up at home for a crunchy snack that is chip-like. I find that protein counteracts the need for carbs like popcorn that I always eat too much of at a time.

I had a cheat day! ended up taking a string cheese in my purse and a bottle of water with one of those flavor packs so it really felt like I was cheating. I wasn't going to eat popcorn but after looking at the nutritional value... a small popcorn from cinemark is 190 cal. and that was better than depriving myself. I enjoyed it! We went to a buffet for dinner... Goldern Corral. I really actually like healthy food so it's ok for me there. I had an entire plate of salad/mixed greens/ baby spinach, cukes, tomatoes, cauli, a small table spoon of bacon and french dressing... just enough to flavor it. I drank water, which I am good with. I had one grilled tilapia fillet. The treat came when I had half a piece of sugar free blueberry pie and just a little dollop of ice cream on it. It was a very busy day but I managed to squeeze in a Jillian Michaels video workout when we got home.... even after all that I came in 35 calories under LOL... now I did eat back my exercise cal which I don't usually do, not to darn bad for a cheat day. My sodium on the other hand... well, lets just say I'm adding some extra water the next day! thanks for the replies!

Most definately going to try the pepperoni chips... great idea! I know what you mean about fruit.... I love fresh fruit. I like frozen grapes for a real special treat. Man oh man do those fruit calories add up. I have always thought of myself as a healthy eater.... who would have thought how much extra weight would be put on from the healthy stuff.
