olive oil getting solid in refrigerator

I made an italian dressing packet and used half the suggested olive oil. Mixed it and used some of it then put it in the refrigerator. The next time I went to use it the oil part was solid. This is not the first time it happened. I was using bertolli extra virgin olive oil.

Yes, I made the "good seasons" italian dressing and the same thing happened to me.0

Olive oil will get solid in the refrigerator. Just set it out early or run the container under warm water and it will become liquid again.0

If you take it out of the fridge for five or ten minutes, and swirl it around, or shake it - it will be fine....you're used to the store bought concoctions with all kinds of added chemicals to prevent that. Your homemade dressing is much better for you.0

it proves you have real olive oil and not something else sold in its place

It's totally normal for olive oil to harden the the fridge. Just set it out on the counter for a while or warm it a bit.0

I recently started making my own dressings and the same thing happened to me. I just keep it on the counter now, there is really no need to refrigerate a simple oil and vinegar dressing.0

Yup I store olive oil at room temperature and only make dressing as needed. It turns solid in cold temperatures and I prefer to not use all the chemical dressings from the store.
It's not hard at all to make your own dressing.0 -
When I used to make that, I used to put a drop of vegetable oil in with the olive oil, and it would prevent it from solidifying. Not sure it's the healthiest option, but it worked
