Looking for nerdy friends that are active members!

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some like minded people to add as friends ^_^

I'm 22 years old, 5'7" started at 227 lbs in February, and am down to 204 now. I want to get to around 155 (hence my username) and see how I feel from there.

I am super nerdy, dorky, geeky, etc.

Things I enjoy:
Video games, sci fi, reading, science, electronics, etc.

I enjoy Zelda, Pokemon, and have just started playing Mass Effect for the first time. I play league of legends(trying our singed right now...) watch dr who and am an AVID Star Trek fan. I love learning new things and reading (yes, including harry potter) and I am an amateur photographer (would love to be pro).

I read webcomics ( my 3 main ones are girls with slingshots, questionable content and xkcd).

I want friends who will comment on stuff, help me out and who will not mind me commenting on their activity a lot. I would love people with similar goals.

So go ahead and add me and we'll talk nerd fitness ^_^

Hello... I like electronics! I guess I'm a nerd too. And I was at 192 when I started and now I'm around 178. If I get to 155, I would fit into all my clothes. If I get to 140, I'd be happier. I am 5'5 and a half.. so almost 5'6 without any shoes.
  • I think everyone likes electronics in this day and age! Sounds like you have some solid goals there. Best of luck!

    Are you getting Borderlands 2?

If so, I think you just earned a new nerdy stalker =P
  • Yup! Though probably not right away I have so many games I need to play! I'm about to go work on a quick indie game called to the moon which has intrigued me

I like a lot of the same things too :) So awesome finding people that can appreciate the finer things in life, like Dr Who and Star Trek, hehe. I don't play nearly as many video games as my husband but we went to PAX in Seattle this past Labour Day weekend. XKCD is one of my favourite webcomics!! I'll have to check out the other two you mentioned. I also used to have my own photography company on the side, did weddings, etc. after spending a couple years working as an on-mountain portrait photgrapher in Whistler, BC.

I'm 31, 5'2" and while I've been using MFP for over a year I haven't really made much progress on loosing weight. Really trying to buckle down now (currently at 216lbs) and it seems my local friends on MFP have given up tracking. :(
