Don't be. As long as you get back up again, there is nothing to worry about.0

I have been, and I still lost weight. It happens. Don't stress!0
-
Bump, I can't be the only one who has done this!!!0

Meh, doesn't bother me when I'm over. Some days I'm over, some I'm under. Even if it was a truly horrible week and you're so far over that you won't lose an ounce, all you can do is do better next week. You can't change what already happened, just learn from it.0

No biggie.0

Get over it, the only thing you can do is exercise really hard or just plan for a better tomorrow.0

It's okay! Really! A cheat day every now and then isn't going to throw you back to square one. In fact, you probably won't see any difference on the scale. It takes many times going over to start gaining anything. If you make a habit of going over, yes but once in a while really won't affect anything. Some people actually give themselves one cheat day a week. I don't, but it works for some (it can act as a bit of a "jump" for your metabolism).0

Settle down :P I have been over about 500-600 calories almost every day this week, with only 1 day of workout....it happens. Just don't let it happen every week, every day kind of thing....or you'll be back where you started. Just remember, sometimes we need to have give in days....so long as you get back on the wagon the next day.
Also keep in mind, if you are working your body hard, it needs more of that nutrients/calories for energy.0 -

I have had runs of 4-8 days of bad binges where I was over by 800 to 2800 per day. I gained weight of course, but with effort was back to my normal weight in 7 days or so. To put things in perspective. Had a week where I was over by a total of 14000 calories. Horrendous. I have no idea of the gain as I didn't dare check but ten days later I was back to my usual 126 pounds by getting back to my daily exercising and cutting down to 1700-1800 calories. So even if you have gained, remember, you have the means to ungain.0

As a former overeater, I wouldn't freak out about this. For me, at least, I have found that this isn't a "diet" but a lifestyle change. As long as you continue to eat healthy more days than not, eat within your calorie requirements more days than not, and keep up with your exercise, you WILL get to the fitness and weight level that you are working towards!
Sometimes we have to struggle to get through a day at a time, other times it's a full week. When I was battling PMS so badly, I would literally have a week of feeling an extreme urge to eat an extreme amount of food, then TOM would arrive and it would be over until next month. That hasn't happened to that extent in a long time, although I did suffer from the physical feelings of I'M HUNGRY for the past 2 days when I shouldn't have felt hungry. If my stomach growls, I try to choose healthy food and feed myself. Maybe you needed the food this week, maybe not, but don't beat yourself up about it. Take tomorrow as a new day and the beginning of a new week, and move forward with your efforts. Best of luck to you!0 -
No sense in worrying now just get back on track. I had a few bad days and couldnt seem to eat enough, while I didnt eat unhealthy things, I was still over and couldnt get enough! I will have to get back on track because I knocked myself out of Ketosis.. UGH, not happy with myself but must drive on!0

You don't need to be rude either.. Just ignore it or don't reply at all.
And to everyone else, thank you SO much for your input! I was kinda freaking out a bit because I've never done diets or anything like that, and I hadn't seen anyone post anything similar to this issue I was having. Seriously I just didn't know if I should like, compensate with like a marathon or something! >.<
But this is the first time I was like, insanely over my limit! Hahaha I just didn't know what to do, if anything was to be done.
thanks again!!0 -
Do you know what your TDEE is?
Just because you eat past your net, does NOT mean you do not have a deficit, and that you are not losing fat.
It is perfectly okay to have a day here and there where you eat more.
In fact, for the sake of emotional/phychological status, it's probably good to PLAN to have a day to eat more.
You can eat to your heart's content, or you can log what you eat and stay under your TDEE.
TDEE is total daily energy expenditure.
You can calculate that here http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
I think you will feel a lot better knowing what your parameters are.0 -

Yes, if you have not done this before, you just don't know the boundaries.
But you would have to eat over your TDEE all the time to gain weight.
That's how I gained weight lol.
Not to worry.0 -
Even if you're over, you still might be lower than maintenance. Which means you're still losing weight, just more slowly0
-
I set my goal to TDEE so I make sure I'm always under it every week...0

The day you were over you ate 4,941 calories. The next day you only ate 395 calories ... seriously under. We all have a bad day now and then. Just pick up where you left off in a healthy way if it happens again. Good luck!0

ohhh, because when looking at the app on my phone it says over net calories for the week, that's where I got confused like, uh, do I just not eat my calories or should I run & lift weights for 5 hours? Hahaha0 -

Thanks so much :flowerforyou:
Yeah I was super confused and I didn't see anything like this posted so I asked because I'm new to the whole weightloss game (then got all chewed out by another member for bumping my own post hahahaha)
I really appreciate everyone's responses! I'm less confused now and less of a newb :blushing:0
