Sprained ankle & exercise

I just suffered a severe sprain of my ankle with soft tissue damage and stretched tendons. I am not suppose to be walking on it at all, which is hard to do anyway because it hurts so bad. I'm using crutches which is a pretty stenuous workout in itself. However, I was wondering if there was any other ways to get some exercise without use of my foot?I'd appreciate any ideas.

  • The only thing I can think of off the top of my head would be any kind of floor exercises. Also arm work outs would be doable. If I have any light bulbs go off I'll let you know. Hope its feeling better!
  • I was thinking of my pilates program, but alot of that still involves your feet positions and legs. I think it would still hurt. This blows chunks!!
