I started MFP in July at 242 lbs and now I'm down to 219. 20 pounds away from Onederland!! My heighest non pregnancy weight was 254 so I'm officially down 35 from that weight (which I weighed March of this year). When I pulled these pics out and put them side to side I wanted to cry. This motivates me to never "look back" and not let myself go again. I'm also a survivor of Domestic Violence so this is a way of celebrating my new life! I've seen several posts out there about people wanting to give up! This post is for those people who say it's too hard...It's not! I have hypothryoidism...If I can do it....Anyone can!

Good for you! And a little hint: Make sure your water supply does NOT contain flouride. Google Flouride and Thyroid for information.

Hi I'm Erica and I just started about a week ago. Your results look great. Can you give me some tips on what you did?

Erica, I'm a believer in "Everyone is different", BUT...

    1) I eat less and exercise atleast 5 days a week (30-60 min)
    2) I eat more fruit and some veggies, but while still eating the foods I love (just smaller portions)
    3) I drink atleast 8 oz of water a day (hardly drink anything else)

edited to add that I stay away from prepackaged processed foods as much as possible to keep my sodium down

This has me motivated!!! First, congratulations on the weight loss. Mostly, however, congratulations and welcome to the new beginnings after an abusive relation! You are on your way to a much more wonderful path!!

I want to lose about 20 to 25 and your "recipe" on how to do it is exactly what I am learning to do!

keep it up - when I got to onederland I was kind of taken aback...it seems slow but one day you look up from the scale and you are there!
