Im on 1600 kcal a day, things going very well and im not carving for anything. Had my 3 meals and snack, but still have 535 kcal left. Cant decide should i eat? Had enough protein for today, but not carbs.
Help me decide!
p.s. i had an hour workout today too, but im not adding that (dont like that it mixes my calorie goal)
my only concern is that im breastfeeding, but have plenty of milk, supplies even increased.

How about crumpets with peanut butter or a good handful of nuts? For some fibre try some wheetabix with honey and almonds. Or if your sick of eating SO healthily treat yourself to an indulgence. You know the one.....!0

Maybe have some fruit and healthy crackers, especially if your lacking carbs.0

i have the same problem!
i have 459 cals left and im going to bed soon?! (UK)
Anyone any ideas?
will the metabolic rate slow down?0 -
Try to eat something with a low GI. You don't want sugar being stored as fat as you sleep. I would recommend some cotttage cheese or a similar lean protein.0

You can always eat something with high protein but low sugars and fat. Fruit is never good to eat before bedtime because it contains natural sugars. The natural sugars are good for an afternoon boost. If you eat fruit before bed , the sugars are being stored which is never a good thing. I asked my nutrition specialist this question today0

I don't think one day short on calories will hurt your breastfeeding but if you do it to often it might. I only nurse 3 times a day now (shes 14 months) but I still try to make sure I'm not below my goal by too much too often.0

and had too many protein already
will need to change what im eating tomorow, its bit tricky at beggining - dont want to overeat in morning and end up with this0 -

Had 4 dried apricots and glass of water. No point of stuffing myself - good night sleep is too important.
Just couple weeks ago i would be moaning about having 500 kcal too much LOL0 -
You are dieting, working out and breastfeeding! So don't be too harsh on your body as you need to keep the calories evenly paced through the day and breastmilk also needs a little more 'good' fat than you would otherwise have on a strict diet so making sure things like some oily fish like tuna might be good. If you eat too much fruit, this can affect the quality of breastmilk and even give your baby a bit of an upset tummy! Maybe a natural yoghurt or a small bowl of cereal with milk would be good?0

Maybe eating a few fiber bars during the day to supplement the lack of calories you arent getting would work, that also helps you to lose weight in the long run0

If it were me... and I wasn't hungry, no - I'd not eat. Unless this is something that is happening continually, then just let it go.
