It's true!

I just wanted to offer a little hope and encouragement out there to the ladies who are suffering from PCOS that you can become pregant!

I just found out I'm pregant today. So happy!

The weight has to come off though and you have to commit to your health. You have to begin to nourish your body.

I have sufffered from PCOS for years. We are talking since I was a teen and I would have no period for a year. I had all the classic symptoms no ovulation. I've been with my fiance for 4 years we've never used protection. In fact, I've never had to use protection.

Well I decided I'd take this weight off I'd start to make myself happy. I decided what will be will be. I just took my health serious, and I started walking and nourishing my body with more fruits and vegetables and portion control. Guess what when you give it to God like that miracles happen. Your body responds.

So please if you are struggling with the day to day of the cravings for carbs, the mood swings, the erratic cycles, STOP! Take your health serious be selfish. It's not hopeless.

I'm still in the very early stages of pregancy and do realize that with PCOS my chances of miscarriage are greater. I at least got to hear once in my life...youre going to be a mother. And I'm blessed.

    Wow, that is amazing!!

How much have you lost in total now??

I had a rough week this week with PCOS - got engaged, for a few days the "no children" cloud was lifted - but then my best friend announced she is preganant with her second baby - I am so happy for her, but it is so painful when all we want is a baby!! x

I've lost 59lbs went from 365-370? to 305. My cycle started getting regular about 10% loss which they say is very common.

You make your health primary. Give it to your higher power. Eat tons of fruits and veggies and just be thankful for your strong healthy body and I bet a miracle could happen.

Totally understand the pain when you hear someone else is pregnant. But you make yourself number one focus!

I started at 292lbs and am now 250lbs - what would 10% loss be for me (I am AWFUL at maths!!)

My cycles are not regular and my ovulation monitor hasn't shown me ovulating yet!! I have only been using it for 2 months though - before that was the ovulation sticks, but they never showed me ovulating!

We are loosing weight and making our lifesytles healthier - I have the specialist on 1st october, i had to lose 3 stone by the time I saw him - which I have done :) I am hoping he will put me onto Clomid as metformin doesn't seem to be helping!

Loraine! That is such wondeful news!!
I, too, know the pain of hearing that you may never feel a miracle grow inside you. Like you, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was a young teen, and when I was 19, my doctor told me it would be highly unlikely that I would be able to get pregnant without medical help. In February I went for a CT Scan because I have intestinal issues, and low and behold they had to stop it because they saw a baby. The next day I went to my gyn, and he told me I was 27 weeks along! I had told myself that I didn't want children because I've seen my sister miscarry five times, the last being at 16 weeks. I knew I couldn't hnadle that kind of pain. God heard my heart, and carried me through over half my pregnancy and past the point of miscarriage.
Benjamin Peter is four months old today.

God has wonderful things for you, my dear. Keep strong, keep healthy, and mostly, keep in the faith.
I love you girlie (even though we've never met.

    That's great news :D

I was diagnosed with PCOS in April 2012, and told that I was overweight. I'm losing the pounds to control my symptoms, prevent diabetes and heart disease, and of course to increase my chances of conceiving when I decide I'm ready for kids. It's awesome to see fellow PCOS sufferers getting pregnant - gives me hope :)

I wish you a happy, healthy pregnancy, and an awesome motherhood :) Congratulations!

My post had nothing to do with marriage. It's just about being responsible not just for yourself but for other people too. I can think of atleast 1 common STD which will leave both males and females infertile if untreated.

I am in that same boat. I tried for five years and finally had lost 50 pounds and got pregnant right away. After we had my daughter I gained back almost all of the weight. We have been trying again since she was born which was three years ago. I am down 35 pounds and just found out again that I was pregnant. Completely shocked, unfortunately we lost the baby but I have hope that as I continue to lose weight it will happen again soon!! Congrats to you, and hopefully others can draw some inspiration from these stories because infertility is so very hard!
