Hey ladies,

Sorry this is a bit personal and has probably been discussed a gazillion times before... BUT - I haven't had me you know what for two months now. I'm still a healthy BMI (about 23) but have lost about 20 % of my body weight so I guess everything is just adjusting. Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do? How long did it take to come back? Did you end up seeing a Dr or did things just sort themselves out in their own time??

Never thought I'd actually WANT Aunt Flo to visit but it is surprisingly annoying and I feel all out of kilter!!

Doesn't really make a difference with me tbh. I would probably ask the doctor if it'd been 2 months.

yup i know exactly what you're going through because i haven't had my monthly visits in over 3 months. a friend of mine hasn't had hers in over a year. i believe it'll come back when you lessen your workout routine. i went to the clinic 4 times to make sure i wasn't pregnant until i finally got a blood test and then i relaxed about it because of course it came back negative. doctor said it was expected and that it happens. didn't mention any risks but thats probably because i made it very obvious that i wasn't trying to get pregnant. so IF you are trying to get pregnant, then you may wanna adjust your routine.

You don't have to be at an unhealthy BMI to have messed up your menstrual cycle. An overly severe restriction of calories will do that even while you are at a "healthy" weight.

However, you should still see a doctor about this to rule out other issues which could be causing amenorreah.

mIne comes every 4 weeks, almost like clockwork.... even in my mid 40's.... so wish it would slow down, but then again, I am not looking forward to any of those other nasty things such as hot flashes, LOL.

I have the opposite happening, was twice in Aug, and now again this week just hoping it will settle to a regular pattern again soon

I keep thinking I will be starting the 'change' soon as I am 50 but they are getting more frequent not less :grumble:
  • I hadn't had one at all in four years (due to the type of bc I'm on) and when I got into actually working out every day (and not just wakling/cardio) I actually had one. O_o The body likes to play tricks on us. I wouldn't be overly alarmed but taking regular tests to make sure you're not preggers isn't a bad idea either.

I have noticed that the more I work out the less regular I am. I would say if you're concerned go to the doctor just to make sure that's the issue. Better safe than sorry :) On another not, GREAT job in your success!!!!
  • Mine have been irregular since I started I usually have 2 a year every now and again I get one that sneaks up for a day or two very light hardly worth mentioning Im 33 now started at 9 stopped started again at 12 havent had any adverse health effects from it although I did have to be put on meds once when I was trying to get pregnant believe it was progesterone not sure was so long ago. The docs never seemed to concerned so I wouldnt worry to much BUT definititly mention it to your gyno to be safe could be something but In my inexperience I think its ok.
