Ladies 6'0 and over

What is your weight? I don't know If I should focus on losing weight or just trying to tone up. Because we are tall, it always appears we are slim but my thighs and stomach begs to differ. I'm about 183 now and my goal is 170 but people keep telling me that is too small.

I'm 5'11 and 147 and quite happy with what I look like. So I don't think 170 is too low for someone of 6'. Lose weight until you are happy with you and screw whatever other people think...0

Hi! I'm 6'0" exactly, and currently weigh 163lbs.
We all carry weight differently, so it's really going to depend on where it sits on you and what YOU are comfortable with! I'm currently working to get back to my low weight of 160lbs, and then progress down to 155lbs and see what I think. I'm still an 8-10 in pants (ALL my weight hangs around my hips, butt, & thighs!) and would like to make that a 6-8.
Strength training is highly beneficial, though, and you shouldn't neglect it! I lift heavy 3x/week, and it can make you look 10-20lbs less than you actually weigh.
But focus on what makes you happy. My mom is also 6'0" and only weighs about 135lbs. She's super-thin framed, though, and doesn't have much muscle. It's going to be a range for everyone!0 -
Cool, thanks. I am a 10 - 12 depending on the store and I would like to get a tad smaller. My fat is in the bottom of my belly and I have huge thighs. I will def work on the strength training but because I have a lanky frame, I worry I will resemble a teeange boy. lol0

Hi, Chiming in at 6' :-) As worldhurdler said we all carry weight differently. I'm 48 yrs old 156.6 and aiming at 145 as a goal weight.
In my case I'm top heavy (bust is 8-9 inches more than hips) and I've been blessed with fairly slender limbs.
So I think your weight goal is dependent upon many things including muscle tone and frame.
