Tevana Tea Question for you tea lovers out there

I don't drink coffee, I've quit drinking Diet Coke, I don't really drink alcohol (unless it is a very special occasion) so all I drink, all day long, is water. I know it is great for me to drink water but I'm getting a bit bored. I mix it up a bit by drinking ice water with a big squeeze of fresh lemon, a sprig of mint, and a packet of stevia sometimes but I don't always have those things handy.
I've had some Tevana teas lately though that are really good. Normally I don't really like tea much but these two flavors are amazing: Citrus Lavender Sage & Opus Rouge, and Youthberry & Wild Orange Blossom. I love them both. I only put one packet of Stevia in the Raw in with 16 oz of tea--I don't use their little rocks of beet root sugar or whatever it is.
Does anyone know if these teas are good for you or if there are hidden things in them that I shouldn't have? I'm trying not to do the sugar thing and Stevia is the only one I'm allowing myself right now.
Opinions? Any calories in these?
Thanks so much for your help! :flowerforyou:

I don't think they have calories, if they do I'd assume it would be something like under 10 calories per serving. And I've found Teavana tea's to be good quality.....from what I've read they are very "pure" and don't have added crud. There is some AMAZING Jasmine Green Tea that they have....you should try that!0

I'm a huge tea drinker...can't usually afford Teavana, but it's good stuff!!0

I love tea. It's good for you. There are lots of anti-oxidants in tea. Tea without any milk or sugar in it is 0-5 calories. I love to mix Teavana's Chai and Matevana tea together. It's spicy with a little chocolate. I use a little vanilla almond milk to sweeten it up for a special treat on Sunday mornings.0

They don't put anything extra in their teas. Check out the ingredients. Some of them do have candied fruit or chocolate in them, so you may want to steer clear of those. I'm a huge fan of Blackberry Mojito. I keep some in my office, and have it with a teaspoon of local honey. If you go on the website, it will also tell you which ones have caffeine in them. I basically only drink water and teavana tea. Also, you can steep most teas a second time to get the most bang for your buck0

Most of them are zero-5 as was said earlier and a lot of them are here in the MFP database. I've found my favorite Oolong here. I drink it completely straight. For how much those teas cost, train your tastebuds to savor the flavor of them as they are. It will save you calories and give you a real appreciate for their awesomeness.0

Tea is very good for you, so keep chugging! :-) Low to no calories & so much options to choose from. I LOVE tea! I replaced soda with tea during my weight loss and never looked back x0

Love Teavana teas. My favs are Blackberry Mojito Green Tea, Acai Matetini Mate Tea and Jasmine Oolong Tea.0

I use Stevia and so far I love Tevana teas as well. For me it's all about taste and keeping my sanity. I used to be a 100% organic fanatic and I was obese. I've learned to lighten up and not worry so much about being all organic now. I just eat as healthy as possibly (duh), only foods I like (the calorie budget is too precious even on maintenance to waste on anything you don't LIKE), and have a few treats now and then regardless of whether it's "good" or "bad". The human body is pretty resilient if you just mostly eat healthy.0

Amazing Tea at Teavana! Love the "Coldbuster Blend", it knocks out any cold & the Samurai Chai Mate with White Ayurvedic Chai ... so yummy! I also add stevia in the raw to my tea :flowerforyou:0

I love tea.....I drink a lot of it! I have friends that looove Teavana teas but I've never tried any myself. I get herbal and unsweetened tea k-cups for my keurig...not sure how "natural" it is, but they are no cals and pretty tasty!0

Some of them have dried fruit, so you are bound to get SOME calories there, but not much. I have one suggestion - try Yogi brand licorice tea - it's not as grassy and yuck as pure licorice teas and the licorice is a natural sweetener AND a mild stimulant.0

My sister just got a job at a Teavana, hopefully she brings home some free samples0

I have been drinking dandelion root tea. It has a little bitter taste but also a nutty flavor. If you get bored of water I found an article on Pinterest that I found helps...slice up an apple and throw it in a pitcher with a cinnamon stick and some ice. Fill with water and let sit in the fridge for a while. It gives it a very gentle taste and a nice aroma. It's been much easier to drink my water in the morning when I find it harder to drink then.0

I am a huge tea drinker and Love Teavana. A little pricey but all these suggestions have me deciding to splurge on some this weekend.0

I drink the Jasmine Phoneix green tea pearls and Weigt-to-go (black tea with strawberries). I never add sugar and just love the stuff plain. It is expensive but I save up for a 1lb at a time or go in with friends to save 10%.0

Thank you for all of your suggestions and information. I just bought $50 worth yesterday...yes, I think it is REALLY expensive but I do think it is worth it. I'll have to try some of your favorites after the 2 canisters I bought yesterday are gone.
I have only found one teavana listed on MFP so far. Not sure what I am doing wrong but if I just search Teavana, only one comes up for me.
Thanks again.0
