What time does your kid or kids get up if you let them wake on their own? My 6 year old gets up around 8 (nice!) but my 2 year old is up sometimes at 6-6:30.:noway: I get up at 5:45 (when dh gets up) to exercise but some days I only get in a few mins before my son wakes up. How do you moms fit in a morning workout if your kids wake up so early? Working out at night isn't an option for me.

Thanks and have a great Tuesday!

  • Wow poor you, I can't suggest anything because if I leave mine they don't get up till 10am! They're 8, 9 and 11.

What does your workout involve, could you not include your little ones?

    I'm rubbish ain't I having lazy children.

My oldest (10) and my youngest (2) sleep until 9ish, my 4 year old is up by 7am and she ends up waking up the 6 year old because they share a room. If I'm lucky, I may get to sleep "in" until 7:30am on the weekends!

Oh, and I don't work out in the mornings (mostly because I don't want to get up earlier than normal for work). I go home and work out after work and before I have to pick up the kids.

Hey - my oldest (20) needs to have cold water poured on his head to get up any time before noon (why, yes - i am an evil stepmonster, why do you ask? ); the baby sleeps until I wake him around 7:30 or so... however, my almost-6 year old is a morning person - gets up between 6-6:30 every day...

how do i work out? every other morning i leave the house to run - so by leaving by 5:45am, when middle guy gets up - hubby has to deal with him (although he knows i have his juice & breakfast laid out on the counter before i leave, so he can grab that); the mornings that i stay home and do a DVD, he's my "coach" - so he has a great time telling me when I'm not doing a move correctly or fast enough...

good for you in getting up to exercise... after a few days, even the 2 year old should become accustomed to the new routine...
