Snack deterrents?

Right, I'm in a woeful cycle of eating healthy low-cal meals then ruining my daily intake with high calorie snacks and end up feeling sick and gross and squishy!
Anyone wanna start some kinda <100cals thingy (for the snacks section) with me?

    Celery with 2 tbsp of hummus
    Celery with 1 tbsp of peanut butter
    apple
    banana (small to medium)
    other fruit...
    side salad with veggies and 1tbsp light dressing
    100 calorie packs! My favorite is Emerald Cocoa Roast almonds (basically choc covered almonds, so good!)
    Light yogurt
    low sodium beef jerky
    low sugar instant oatmeal (1 packet is around 120 cals)
    cucumber salad
    string cheese

  • almost had a slip up today. Luckily my fiance caught me *brownie in hand* lol and told me "no, wait until the weekend, it'll be so much better, besides your sweet already, you don't need more sweets." I love him soooo much. My motivation :).
    eating an orange instead :-/

    First of all, how are you feeling when you find the snacks? If you are bored, try getting up and doing something else for a minute, like talking to a friend (not about food though) or going for a quick walk to the water cooler for a drink.

    Secondly, high calorie snacks are ok if you plan for them. If you know you're going to have a treat, plan a workout or just eat fewer snacks that day in anticipation of the treat. If my coworkers say "we're bringing a cake for someone's birthday" I will probably eat with them because I knew it was coming and I could prepare. If someone says, "here's some donuts leftover from a meeting" I can turn it down, because they are probably stale, and they weren't meant for me anyway. Surprise food isn't as yummy as food I know is going to be coming my way.
