I tried it for two weeks and lost around 8 pounds. It is not a realistic diet if you want to keep the weight off. I gained back all of the weight I had lost when I began eating normally again. This diet is very restrictive of what you can eat. No one can survive on cottage cheese and yogurt!0

I have been on the Dukan diet since 12/31/11..I have lost 42 pounds and did the online coaching. I got non starchy vegetables back on like day 5. it is a lifestyle commitment, and the "consolidation" takes like 3 days for every pound lost, but I have developed really good habits. we have a group here on MFP if you want to check it out.
You actually get whole wheat bread , potato, etc. back during the third stage. I just have no desire to eat bread, pasta, rice or potatos anymore. I did add back avocados and apples during the third stage.
It's not for everyone, but like any other nutrition plan, it works for some and not others. Works for me.0 -
I only vaguely know what it is but sounds interesting0
