Is a 30 minute workout better than no work out?

I get an hour for lunch so my lunch usually goes as follows:
10 mins to get to the gym
5 mins to get ready
30 min workout
5 min to get ready for work
10 mins back
I just want to make sure that I'm not just wasting my time by only getting 30 minutes in on some days.

30 minutes is plenty enough of a workout, provided you are doing the right things..As always, some is better than none.0

HECK YES.
A 5-minute workout is better than no workout.
In 30 minute you can get a TON done. Just make it count.0 -

I actually do the same thing! For me, 30 minutes a day equals 1 pound off a week. So for me, it's worth it.0 -
love my 30 minute workouts....alhtough I Enjoy longer workouts, 30 minutes (especially in the middle of work) really put a boot in my butt! LOVE THEM! Don't give up your 30 minutes.0

never a waste - some time is better than no time - don't skip a meal tho0

What a silly question, of course 30 minutes exercise is better than none. :laugh:0
-
Heck yeah, just make it count. Use the time wisely.0

Yeah I usually have a premade salad I can just eat at my desk when I get back to work0
-
Congrats! You're getting it done!0

how is it only taking you 5 minutes to get ready for work?? Am I the only one sweating buckets in a 30 minute workout?!0
-
Absolutely!!!!! You can fry yourself in 30 minutes! Look up HIIT training and tabata training! 30 min is perfect!0

Like a good friend just told me earlier today, doing 50% of something is always better than 0% because you over think it.0
-
Idk how much you're used to but 30 minutes of high impact cardio...elliptical, etc is enough for me!0
-
Yes! Some movement is always good!0

I guess I was just worried that I was getting all sweaty and looking terrible for work for nothing... Thank you all!0

5 minutes moving is better than 5 min on the couch. I do long workoits but also 30 minute express classes at the gym. As long as I give 110% I know its more than enough.0

Anything is better than none! Actually it looks like most nutritionists, etc. recommend working out for 30 minutes at least three days a week. So if that's the minimum and you're getting in 30 minutes a day, that's awesome.0

Most of my workouts are only 30 mins0

Any workout is better than none! If you can, try High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to maximize on that time and increase your post-exercise calorie consumption (also known as excess post-exercise oxygen consumption)0

If sometimes 30 minutes is all you have time for. Make the most of your time while you are there and it will not go to waste. I love your dedication!0
