calories I can do without. I'd rather eat them than drink them.0

Well until you make the choice to cut down once or twice a week youll stay the same....

I'm sure you don't want to hear it, but you will be amazed at how much easier you will lose weight if you put down the bottle. Try it for a few weeks. Trust me. Your metabolism will increase and you wont have all of those empty calories.0

before i got back into healthy eating and working out i drank liquor and beer nearly every day. its almost impossible (for me anyway) to be a daily drinker AND be fit. i drink MAYBE once a week/2 weeks and i make sure theres plenty of room in my daily calories for it...its hard, but you can do it. just think about how much better youll feel when you can go out for some beers in smaller size clothes0

You know what I do if I want to stop craving drinks for a while. I get so stinky drunk that I have major hang over. I cant even stand the thought of alcohol for a long time after one of those.0

I managed to have a drink through my weight loss without hindrance and I don't believe you have to get rid of it as some people here will condone.
I did dramatically cut back, I now generally only drink once or twice a week and depending on how my week has gone diet wise I will have wine or vodka and diet coke. When losing weight I would 'bank' some exercise cals to have at the weekend for socialising and drinking with friends. :drinker:0 -
hey that's the beauty of the atkins diet
you CAN drink (responsibly) most of the time, and when you can't be responsible....
hit the rum and diet coke and you're in the clear!
don't be a hater :flowerforyou: :drinker:0 -
I drink wine on occasion and have a beer now and then (my husband home brews so it's always in the house) I think the red flag for me in your post is "I got to have it" are you going to die if you don't? and if you really can't put the drink down for even a day have you considered addiction therapy?0

Well it depends on what and how much you drink..
I never say no to a glass of white wine (I drink once a week, sometimes twice or sometimes none, it depends on the occasion)
Extremely sweet cocktails could be bad for you though..just be careful, as long as it fits with your daily calories intake, I'd say go for it!0
