Made these yesterday with some homemade veggie burgers and everyone agreed they were very tasty. True, they aren't just like french fries - but I think they easily satisfy a very similar craving. By the time the beans are crispy they are not very substantial. The inside almost... hollows out. You're then left with a very crispy seasoned skin. It doesn't taste like potato, but it doesn't really taste like green beans either. I'd definitely make them again.
Your veggie burger looks AMAZING!! Can you share the recipe?0 -
I tried doing this last night and like someone else said the only ones that got crispy were the burnt ones, the others were good but still tasted like seasoned green beans so I would do it again but definitely not as a substitute for french fries.
Green beans = french fries = epic fail!!0 -

Next up, Sea weed crisps taste just like chips!!!!
only if chips taste like fishy turf grass and turn to slime after a moment in your mouth.
seriously though. I just did oven roasted chick peas last night and they were really tasty, I will try the green beans once. I try everything once. Even tried the rocky mountain oysters once ( ok twice)0 -
