Favorite Low Cal Snacks

Right now my favorite snack is imitation crab meat. You get 1/2 a cup for 90 calories. I also love string cheese!

What low calorie snacks are you eating? I need ideas.

Zucchini tots are lovely, only discovered them the other day.

I also make my own hummus (much lower in calories when it's homemade), and dunk whatever veggies I want in there.

    Tuna lettuce wraps

Combine 1 small can tuna with lemon pepper and lemon juice (to taste)

Use 1 romaine lettuce leaf and fill with tuna mixure, sliced cucumber and sliced tomato. Wrap and enjoy!

Imitation crab meat is also my latest and greatest snack.

Also agree with the fat free pudding cup with cool whip.

Kind of boring but the dole brand 'no sugar added' mandarin orange fruit cups are also only 45 cals and easy to throw in your purse/keep in your desk. 'Lightly sweetened' version of apple cinnamon Quaker Oatmeal is only 110 cals and gives more substance.

I am still new at making a healthier lifestyle change,
but my favorite snack seems to be morphing from one week to the next.

    RIGHT NOW, this week,
my favorite low calorie snack is: A tomato sandwich,:drinker:

on 2 slices of toasted "Healthy Life" 40 calorie Omega3/flaxseed hi-fiber bread,
    with some mustard,
and 1 tablespoon of wheat germ, for extra protein.

This is only about 120 calories, and i get 8 grams of protein for the calories spent, and it's tasty. quick, not expensive and filling.

"Healthy LIfe" bread (can be found at Walmart and most grocery stores) also makes a 30 calorie per slice wheat bread, but i like
their Omega3 bread the best, especially when TOASTED!!!!

What on earth is imitation crab meat, and what is it made of, and why wouldn't you eat a real crab instead?

I'm not really sure what it's made up of and I don't really care. All I know is it is 90 calories and it's delicious.

i can not speak for the OP, but, my guess is, the price for imitation crab meat (made of fish)
    is so much lower
than actual crab meat, which is quite pricey.
