Right now my favorite snack is imitation crab meat. You get 1/2 a cup for 90 calories. I also love string cheese!
What low calorie snacks are you eating? I need ideas.
What on earth is imitation crab meat, and what is it made of, and why wouldn't you eat a real crab instead?
It's pollock.0 -
i like to make my own trail mix, my simplified version is just almonds and dried cranberries. I also like to take a plain rice cake and add 1/2 TBSP peanut butter and 1/2 TBSP (reduced sugar) jam (~ about 100 cals)0

I pack carb boom (110 calories) for that time between lunch and dinner and as I am heading to the gym. It keeps the hunger at bay and there is no calorie creep from misjudging how much I had. I find the less I enjoy a food and the more I focus on using it for fuel, the easier it is to stave off cravings and not obsess about eating. I have lost 82lbs since 2009.
Carb boom?0 -
Veggies and dip! Hummus is low calorie and nothing gets lower calorie than some yummy veggies! An entire red bell pepper is less than 50 kcal.0

Basics: popcorn, pistachios, cherry tomatoes, hummus with veggies.
Storebought: Chipins, which are baked chips made out of popcorn and you can eat 18 for 130 cals! Also, these black bean pop chips (forget the brand) but you can have 13 for 100 cals.
Another great DIY creation is homemade "ice cream." Freeze half a banana then blend it with 1 cup of almond milk makes the most amazing sorbet--no ice cream maker needed! i've also tried the same thing with strawberries and mangoes. Banana works best but they all make a great creamy ice cream for only about 80 cals.0 -
ooh i cant wait to try the banana and almond milk.... yahoo0

I read an article on top 10 snacks. #1 was beef jerky #2 triscuits (6 for 120 cals, fiber helps with hunger) I eat mine with light chive cream cheese #3 string cheese0

I absolutely LOVE Cabot reduced fat cheese snacks. Only 50 calories, and I think they're tastier (and cheaper!) than babybels.
A couple of Morningstar veggie buffalo chicken wings are always tasty and filling, too.
But my new favorite is a fuji apple sliced with lite laughing cow (original) spread over it.0 -
