Targets.....

I need some help please guys, I'm not sure how to target my fitness increase and weight loss. I know where I want to get to, but its kind of a big step......any advice?
I started on 7th September at 253 pounds, i'm now 242, i'd like to get to 190.
I currently physically cannot run, but would like to do what is called the knacker cracker which is a brutal 10k

Get a 10k app ( i used the 5k one to get me going)
It tells you everything you need to know to build up your fitness and stamina with regards to running
