I am !!

Looking for people who have also registered for the WD on September 29 in Old Monroe, Mo. Or for anyone who has done one particularly this course with any advice. What have or did you include in your training? I've bumped my cardio.. and upper body workouts. Have to admit.. getting nervous but highly excited!

i'm in VA so not going however i've done two (rugged maniac and zombie escape). upper body strength is KEY! and stamina. trying to crawl through and up mud is draining. trying to run when your sneakers are COVERED in mud is a struggle. make sure you wear clothes that are tight. they will stretch! my t shirt was down to my knees when i finished the zombie run (it was at my hips when i started)

I will be in out of town for this year. I ran it in Old Monroe last year. The run is pretty hilly, so being able to run a hilly 5k is important. I didn't feel the obstacles where super upper body intensive, more things having to do with height, climbing, things like that. It was fun, that's for sure. No mud until the very end.

I was running a half marathon the next weekend, so the run was easy for me. I was doing alot of body weight workouts, intense cardio, that stuff and I was really prepared. Not too hard. Now, I'm really terrified of heights, so there was the challenge for me. Have fun!!

Not insanely hilly, but through the woods with hills. Certainly not a flat, road run :)
