I've gained [X] pounds since starting but...

I really like the "I've only lost [x] pounds" thread but it doesn't apply to me. So, I decided to create a similar one for all the people who have gained weight since joining...

I'll go first. I've gained 10 pounds but...


1. I can now squat 1.75x my bodyweight

2. I bench 1.25x my bodyweight

3. I deadlift more than 1.75x my bodyweight

4. I have a healthier relationship with food than ever before (well since becoming fitness minded)

5. I enjoy NORMAL FOOD ...sometimes that means less than healthy foods (in moderation)

6. I look FIT and not just SKINNY

7. my *kitten* looks FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC naked :)

    I have not gained but I have only lost about 4lbs since FEB, however I have managed to maintain my lean muscle mass.

    1. I have gone down 3 pant sizes

    2. I can run over 3 miles non stop

    3. I can bench press and deadlift and squat like it's no body's business

    4. My body is harder, everywhere... I have muscles now.

    5. I pretty much eat whatever I like as long as it fits into my calories for the day, which are usually between 1700-2100

    I have gained 4 pounds this summer, but...

    1. I no longer get the "you need to eat" jokes all day...
    2. I have the energy and endurance for loner runs, increasing mileage slowly each week!
    3. Can eat more of the yummy stuff without feeling so guilty :) I have developed a more relaxed approach to eating the unhealthy stuff in moderation, rather than avoid them altogether.
    3. Am able to go out to eat on weekends with family without being the only one ordering a salad ;)
    4. Have developed better discipline with my training.
    5. I am more focused than ever on building/gaining lots of sexy lean muscle!

    I have gained 5 pounds since starting but...

    1. My clothes still fit
    2. I can run 5 miles without stopping.
    3. I am faster than half the high school cross country team I coach.
    4. I have muscles
    5. I can hold my own against my 15 year old Tae Kwon Do classmate
    6. I can almost do a double legged jumping kick.
