Butternut squash and red lentil soup spiced with chilli.
Homemade red kidney bean chilli with brown rice.0 -

Do you want fish, veggie, meat, if so what meat? Curries, stews, salads? I wasn't being funny but genuinely without knowing what you like/are looking for I don't know where to start!0 -
Some of mine recently:
Pork loin with cheesy zucchini/squash
Shredded pork tacos with roasted corn salsa
Sweet and spicy chili
Spaghetti and meatless meatballs
Curried chicken with brown rice and vegetables
And then my go-to standby, scrambled eggs on toast. Or a bowl of cereal.0 -
In need of some dinner Ideas ...
:flowerforyou: Hi,
I don't really have anything to add except a dinner is any meal that properly hits everything you need right? So why not keep it simple for a while? Bake some chicken with some spices sprinkled on it (the grease will make it stick or you can spray it with a cooking spray like Pam Original), steam or microwave some frozen veggies, cut up some apples, put a nut butter of choice on the plate, and serve with a glass of milk or milk substitute. Sure it isn't a gourmet meal, but because it's so simple, it would digest great and give lots of great energy.
Good luck :flowerforyou:0 -
all of those sounds good! Thank you ... I will add to my list of ideas I just get tired of eating the same things over and over0

I'm not trying to pick a fight but after seeing you around the forums I'm starting to notice that there really isn't a gentle side to you is there? I know you are battling what you perceive as laziness, but some people just don't trust or like google. Getting recipes or work out routines from other people is a lot more personable and you can ask questions if you have any. Pulling a recipe from a website and a workout from a website just doesn't give that "someone else did it" feeling that you get when someone is offering you a personal experience.
You can't change the world, but you can tolerate them since they have to put up with YOU too. :flowerforyou:0 -

Ok sir have a good day Thanks!0 -
I put this in the crockpot this morning:
6-8 chicken breasts
1 bottle terriyaki sauce
bag of baby carrots
1 onion, quartered
4 cloves of garlic
On low until dinner tonight. The recipe I have says to serve over rice. We'll have some other green veggie to go with it also.
A website I was recently introduced to is health.com....they have some yummy recipes there too.0 -

Meal planning is so tough! I find myself cooking the same things too often too. Last year, I kept a calendar for a month of all of the foods I cooked (kind of a reverse meal planning technique) and by keeping track this way, I could avoid the same meals again. I need to do this again...0 -
Another idea that I have just found is to create some friends on this site and check out what they eat for meals, it gives me great ideas. Another thought that has really helped me is to shop and cook what I can in advance, like chicken tenderloins and keep them in the fridge so when I'm tired and hungry...in the micro and on the plate in no time. Otherwise I eat what my husband eats and blow my good day or just eat carbs...crackers and the rest of empty calories.
Keep up the good work!!! we are all here to help!!!!0 -
I've been updating my blog with some of the new recipes I've tried this month. Check them out: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/BlackKat750

Im not really a picky eater ... Im only eating fish chicken and turkey right now no red meat as far as veggies im open to trying anything
See, that's more helpful. Here's one I did last night
3 chicken breats, throw 3 tbsp salsa on each (find one that has lower sodium if you can), and put it on high for 4 hrs.
Chicken comes out awesome, you can shred and put it on sandwiches, or pair with some potatoes and veggies.

I like to do breakfast for dinner once in a while, Changes things up and keeps it fun. Home made crepes are my favorite (from scratch of course) with some cool whip berries and home made powdered sugar.0 -

You, Sir, are my new favorite. hah.. Tolerance and patience are beautiful qualities that the world could use more of.0 -
I know this sounds boring, but sometimes I really like a plain chicken breast with just salt and pepper, seared with a little olive oil. Once it's done, I throw some garlic and tomatoes in the pan, and then fresh spinach until it wilts.
Like I said, boring, but it's a nice change if I've been making more involved meals.
I'm also into chicken tortilla soup lately. Shredded chicken, a can of cream o' whatever soup, a can of tomatoes and chilies, some tomato juice, and whatever spices you want to throw in. I usually top it with a little shredded cheese and sour cream.0 -
Chili
black bean quesadillas
I think I'm on a bean kick today! LOL0 -

This sounds great! Thanks!! I'm going to add this to my family's menu.0 -
Try skinnytaste.com, I know you said you werent really looking for recipes but they have some pretty quick and healthy meals on there and they list all calorie info. Its a great website for any meal.
But for me, for dinners I usually do veggie burgers with cheese and some jalapenos (i put it on everything..lol) or I will do haddock or flounder with whole wheat breadcrumbs (those are the only fishes I like) with some steamed veggies and brown rice. Turkey burgers are also a good option.0 -

Tried this "jambalaya" last night - didn't have shrimp so I just used 2 cups of cooked chicken and 2 links of sausage and used diced tomatoes w/ green chilis for a bit more heat. Think I'll try it with the shrimp and use a turkey keilbasa next time
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/jens-jambalaya/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=jen's jambalaya&e8=Quick Search&event10=1&e7=Home Page
And tonight Im going to try this recipe to use up the rest of the cooked chicken:
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/broccoli-chicken-potato-parmesan/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=broccoli chicken potato parmesan&e8=Quick Search&event10=1&e7=Recipe
Allrecipes.com is great because you can search recipes by ingredient. Say you've got some ground turkey and bell peppers but aren't sure what you can use them for and you're tired of that recipe you've already made 10 times. Well plug those two ingredients into the search and you'll come up with all kinds of ideas!0
