help please

hello! i joined MFP 2 month ago! b4 MFP i was on a 700-800calorie diet! and after i joined they told me to higher my intake to 1.200! so iam trying too! but now a days am eating about 1.400 and 1.200 and iam gaining weight! is that normal? i lost 3 kgs ever since i joined MFP and now i gained them back! feeling quite depressed honestly! and not motivated at all to complete this journey! please advice me what to do to shed kgs!

    You need to Make sure you are eating healthy not just eating 1200 calories. Watch your sugar, carbs and fats. They are important too. The reason your gaining is because you were basically starving yourself before and now your body is reacting to actually getting food!

    Eat at least 1200-1600 calories a day. HEALTHY Calories. Fruits, veggies, Whole Wheats, Grains, Proteins.

    Also exercise 4-6 times a week and do strength training and lifting - NOT all Cardio. This will not help you gain muscle and muscle is what burns fat!
