Really struggling to get back into the way of things after a recent over-indulgent break from all things.
Anyone feel like giving me a kick in the *kitten*?

I know the feeling. I think everyone here does.
I've had a look at your diary and unless you're fibbing you're already doing quite well!
Of course if you've eaten a lot lately your body is going to whine about sugar. Just keep it up for a few days and you'll get back into things.
Now get off your lazy Portal playing butt and go and do something outside. If you can't stay off the food, you'd better earn every bite.0 -
I understand your pain, Gaining weight and eating bad is just so easy...motivating yourself to eat right and lose weight is so tough especially when theres alot of food you want! ha But you can do it! For me ive just been trying to change the way i think about food, its so easy to get caught up in celebrations and life in general, I did great for a long time the i fell of around easter and im still on the easter holiday lol! But its all about taking it one step at a time im still learning but im getting there and you can too!!! Happy weight loss!0

Yeah, the food isn't too bad at the minute. So far the will power is hanging in there. Just. Although one offer of a cooking-free night with take away would probably break it
Also not helped by the fact that apparently xmas has started (eh?) and people have started bringing giant tins of lovely awesome chocolate into the office to be freely munched on. The miniature Fudges keep staring at me...
The main problem is motivating myself to get back on the excerise.
I keep finding myself missing the turn off to the gym on the way home from work. I'm convinced someone has moved it.
It's also cold out. And I'm grumpy.0 -
For me it works best to focus on today. If I look ahead and see all these moments in time where I will be tempted to eat deliciously evil foods or stay out on an all-nighter with my drinking buddies, I just sort of sag, figure it's all pointless, decide I don't look so bad as I am now and make another peanut butter sandwich.
I'm having huge troubles stabilizing my diet and exercise at the moment, so all I'm doing right now is trying to decrease the number of times I'm coming off the diet. As long as I break it down in small enough chunks (usually 'what will I be doing today?") I find that it is more manageable.
So why not make a deal with yourself you will go to the gym *today*? Don't think about the rest of the month just yet, just go with today. Set a minimum time for yourself that you will spend there (I go as low as 30 minutes if I'm really unmotivated) and make sure you do at least that. If after that it still sucks, go home and go back on another day with a slightly longer minimum time. That might help you ease into it.
Or if that fails, grow a pair and get to it. *cracks whip*0 -
Sound advice. I'll definitely give that a try.
Infinitely better than my current method.
"But it's all the way over *there*!" - while emphatically waving in the general direction.0 -
get naked and stand in front of the mirror.
Like it? grab the remote
don't like it? work out0 -
That's way too simple.
It's so much easier to make excuses when it's complicated
Besides, the neighbours complain when I prance about naked. Something about making it harder to sell... I don't really see the connection myself.0
