Has anyone tried the 30 Day Shred DVD and would you recommend it? I don't like fitness clubs much - you can never get on the machines - but I do have the discipline to workout at home if I have something to copy.

Any others people recommend?

I like aerobics and body resistance exercises - not keen on weights really.

I like it. I'm just now finishing level 2. It's definitely a good toning video but you might need to add more cardio to it. I lost about 4 lbs in the first level but none in the second level. I am getting firmer, my arms look better and I'm starting to see the beginning of a waistline.

I found that it really didn't contain enough cardio for me to use as my main workout video but I like it and use it as my toning option. If you are restricted on time for a workout though it is a great option.

I love all of her dvds and im currently doing 30ds now I have 4 days left of lvl 1. If you google results then the pictures honestly speak for themselves. Ive been burning 300 plus calories in 20 mins doing level 1. It doesnt help you lose a lot of weight because you put on muscle so dont feel disheartened by the scales but take a before and after picture and i guarantee you will see a huge difference after the 30 days. Due to the fact that I am trying to loose weight as well as tone etc I do the 30ds every day with a few rest days but then am trying to jog/speed walk every day as well. so far I have lost 2lbs and ive been doing it 6 days. If you are looking for more cardio her banish fat boost metabolism dvd is awesome! plus her dvds are only about £6 on amazon. Good luck !!
  • i love it. its a killer to start with and definitely takes some getting in to, i honestly thought i was going to die the first few times i did it but i would most definitely reccomend it xx

I suppose that kind of burn is possible but unlikely and not the normal burn for 20 minutes which includes warm up and cool down.

It would only be an issue, if you are eating back all your exercise calories.

A high energy workout usually burns about 10 calories a minute, so that would only be 200 and level one isnt ALL high energy.

30 DS is a great starting point, but be careful that you dont over estimate the calories burned if you eat back your exercise calories.

It would probably be more 30 mins with the warm up and cool down and i usually log after ive turned everything off and had a drink so could be up to 40 mins I guess. I struggle to eat 1200 calories at the moment so very rarely eat exercise cals back and never 300. The readings I get are all from a HRM but I do have hyper tension so im not sure if that could affect it ?
