Mind is boggling, I am sure fitbit has missed a trick instead of bringing out yet another pedometer maybe it should bring out a HR monitor!
Am after cheapish one if there is one anyone can recommend please x

The Polar FT4 is fantastic and under $50 on eBay. It tracks calorie burn based on HR, weight, height, and age which is important. Many of the really cheap ones don't let you add in your height and wight. It also tells you when your heart rate is "in range" for good calorie burn.0

The cheap ones that tell you your heart rate and range is all you really need, because it is all they are designed to do accurately. None of them track calorie burn with enough accuracy to log (nor does any other consumer device). Nothing wrong with that as none of them claim to be "calorie burn trackers". Unfortunately, WE are the ones that made them out to be more than they truly are. No disrespect to others as I too fell victim to this myth. Now, my HRM usually just sits on my desk unless I feel like entertaining myself during my workout. Only throwing all this out there because you indicate cost is a factor, and if that is the case, my opinion would be to not buy one at all. They are HIGHLY overrated on this site.0

At the moment my fitbit is doing that but I am sceptical as to how accurate it is, I figure a HRM cannot be any worse!0 -
