Hey what can I use instead of Tomato Paste? Im making some chicken tomorrow in the slow cooker but I dont have tomato paste and i realyl dont have the time to run to the store! any ideas???? Sum 1 said I can use tomato sauce instead, had any1 used tomato sauce in a recipe that requires tomato paste:huh:

    Yes, you can substitute tomato sauce for tomato paste. One 6 oz. can of tomato paste (about one cup) = One cup of tomato paste + 1 1/2 cups of water.
