Snack bar debate

What kind of snack bars do you eat (if you do)? I have been eating a Luna bar with coffee for my morning snack and a Kind bar with tea in the afternoon. Are these healthy snacks to be eating EVERYDAY (girl's got a mean sweet tooth)? Would it be healthier to replace one bar with an apple even though the fruit has double the sugar?


Breakfast: Strawberry protein shake
Snack: Luna bar and coffee
Lunch: Veggie salad w/ 6 oz lean meat or Lean Cuisine
Snack: Kind bar and tea
Dinner: Lean meat, veggies, more veggies

  • I love the KIND bars!

    I think it is always a great idea to keep some variety in your diet, so having a snack bar twice a day may get kind of boring.

    The nice thing about snack bars is that they are non-perishable. So, if you buy a couple apples at the store for the week, try eating those apples instead of the snack bars, otherwise the apples can go bad.

    Having too much sugar is a reasonable concern. How much sugar is also in that Strawberry Protein Shake? What about the coffee and the tea?

    I have a snack bar once a day...I like the Kashi bars...they have less sugar than an apple too...plus 4 grams of Fiber
