21km cycling

Hello there, just wanted to share my first little victory. 20 days ago I was 324 lbs and decided it's time to do something with it. So I signed up, started to watch what I eat and also started cycling. Note that I haven't been doing anything apart from sitting for the last couple years, and I could walk no longer than 10-20 mins.
Today, after 20 days, I lost about 16 lbs, but more importantly I cycled for 21km without stopping @ 17 km/h. I know there's a long way ahead, but I'm sure I can make it :)

Wow. That's a great ride, and a really good speed when just starting out. And congrats on the loss in such a short time.

Way to go. I did a lot of cycling early on in my journey and I think it is great cardio. Low impact, challenging, and you really go places. :D Keep it up.

I too love cycling. I think your focus is spot on, weight can fluctuate so much but those accomplishments of going out there on your bike, reconnecting with the bigger world out there, those are simply precious. It is also a great way to rediscover your neighbourhood. Wishing you continued happy cycling.

Bike was my best choice. Due to my weight and long lasting problems with one knee it's the one of just few thing I could do right now. I think I need to lose something like 20lbs more and then maybe I'll try to do some running. Until then - it's cycling time :)
