Suggestions for strength training between cardio workouts?

Hi, all! I just started doing Zumba last week, 2 times per week. I also do a few of the Leslie Sansone walking workouts in between but since these are both primarily cardio, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for some strength training workouts I could do 2-3 days per week. I have some very light weights. I think they're 5 lbs, 3lbs, and a pair of wrist weights (1lb each). I'm kind of new to this so just looking for some input. Thanks!

I just wanted to say, I switched recently from my completely cardio routine to more strength training with some cardio. I was a zumba junky. Still am somewhat. Anyway, it has been wonderful for my body. I have seen great changes. Here is the link that was suggested to me:

Good luck and enjoy it.0 -

Go heavy. You won't regret it, I promise. Check out New Rules of Lifting for Women: http://www.thenewrulesoflifting.com/nrol-for-women - It is a perfect starting point for anyone who wants to begin strength training. It explains lifting vs. cardio, gives a 6-7 month workout program, explains each lift, and also provides great recipes. I really strongly suggest it.0

An oldie, but one of my faves for strength: Kathy Smith's Lift Weight to Lose Weight. You can start by doing it with small weights/body weight, and progress as you go. I also like Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones too, but it moves so fast you need to use lighter weights.0
