Recently has been about 2 to 2.5 a week. For the first 6 months I started I was doing two a day workouts everyday and eating around 1600 cals a day. It was dropping at about 4-5 a week at that point. Have upped cals to around 2000 and dropped two a days to 4 days a week so the slow down is expected.0

I find it best to have no "expectation" as I find the amounts I lose are all over the shop. Sometimes the weight just falls off and other times I stick for weeks and weeks and weeks - even sometimes go up - even though I'm eating and exercising the same amounts. I just keep on keeping on and wait for the results - eventually they come! I'm post menopausal, it's even worse if you have periods to factor in as well. It's not unusual to gain several pounds before one, and some people gain a bit with ovulation as well.
I think it's best not to focus on the numbers on the scale, as you're bound to be disappointed from time to time. Try and look at your weight loss over a longer time scale - a couple of months maybe?0 -
Usually I'm down about half a kg (approx. 1 pound) per week, exactly as aimed for.0

I am aiming for 2lbs a week, but so far seems around 3lbs a week, so I am happy with that as i feel fine0

I set my option to 1.5 lbs per week. I'm 3 weeks in and lost 11lbs. I know it will even out sooner or later, so I'll take what I can!0

I'm losing 2 lbs a week even though I'm only shooting to lose 1 lb a week. I'm not complaining!0

I'm down to lose .5lb a week as I'm so close to goal but had a few weeks where I lost nothing then lost 2.5lbs last week0

Some weeks I am lucky to lose one pound but I keep plugging away at it...Never say die!0

I aim my calorie total to lose 2 lbs per week. I run 6 days a week and do Insanity the same 6 days. I don't know how to log Insanity calorie wise so i don't count it. I've been losing 2-3 lbs per week for the last month or so. Success. I don't expect the same rate of weight loss to continue indefinitely though.0

My aim is to drop about 3lbs a week. So far my weight lost per week has been from 0.5lb up to 9lbs.
So saying it's what I expected would be to lie. But so far my losses have been very good to me. I'm about 1.5months - 2months ahead of where I planned.
I'm not sure if there's been any difficulties, apart from maybe me being scared that I'll plateau at some point. Every now and again I worry about putting on weight from muscle so at times I don't hit the weights as much as I want to. I know muscle weight is okay to put on and that it helps to increase my metabolic rate, but I'm a bit too fixated about the number I'm seeing on the scales.0 -
I aim for 1-2lbs a week and so far I have been meeting that goal0

I aim for 1lb a week, but reality is anywhere from 0.3 lbs to 3.0 lbs a week. It depends on how closely I track/stick to my calorie intake, and how much exercise I do. It also depends on nutritional timing. (A carb refeed raises my weight 3-5 lbs for a day or two... I try to do those after weigh in day).0

My goals are set at losing 1.5 pounds a week and I am 12 weeks into this and have 18 pounds so far. Seems slow to me but if you do the math its right on schedule. I can't complain. I want to make a lifestyle change and be aware of what and how much I eat. I don't try to deprive myself either.0

My goal is set for 2 pounds per week and since I have joined MFP that has been the average that I have lost. Some weeks it's nothing and some weeks it's 3 pounds, but the 17 week average is right on with my goal.0

I don't have a precise goal just i'm listening to my doc (more or less) and I've Lost 5 kg in near 1 month. But it was a combination of taking care of food, gym and metformin. Still need to go at least 25 kg.
I know that it will just slow down but it is ok for me.0 -
I started in earnest mid july, 9 weeks later I'm 26lbs down. So about 3lbs a week. I started out 85lbs over my goal weight though so I expected to lose a bit faster at first. I want to make it below 200 by the end of december.
It just gets hard sometimes doing this every day. I'm all by myself and don't see many people and though I know I've lost lots of weight and can see lots of changes, my stomach is still really big and it bothers me. I can't wait to see how I look at 200. I can't remember being below it.0 -
I'm losing slightly less than 2 pounds a week, which I'm happy with. I have some health issues and take some meds that I thought would slow it down, but it's been consistent. My goals are set to lose 2 lbs/week for now, but I'll change that after I lose another 15-20 pounds or if I plateau.0
