Low calorie food

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site only been on here for 5 days and i was wondering if anybody has any tips or recipes for low calorie food. I am trying to lose the last 7lbs of my journey and have had to result to calorie counting where as i lost 3st plus some lbs by cutting out rubbish food and exercising.

I have been trying to move this last 7lbs for about 4months now and it is very stubborn and everyone has told me to calorie count so here i am. I am also doing the insanity workouts which are crazy.

But any input or help would be great, thanks all.

yep....those last few pounds are the most stubborn!!!

I really don't know how you eat now, but there is something to be said for simply learning to eat appropriate portions and eat truly healthy foods instead of "diet foods". I hardly ever eat any sort of "diet" food....I just chose normal foods that I know are good for me (mostly).

And the calorie counting isn't so much about simply eating low calories, but if you want to lose weight, it's about burning more calories than you are taking in.

I'm not a big recipe person. I say LOTS of veggies, especially green ones. Eat them in salads, steamed, stir fried. Also make sure you are getting plenty of protein, grilled chicken breast, quinoa, beans, etc.

Please make sure you are gauging loss by other factors than the scale. I too am within 7 lbs of goal weight and was stuck gaining and losing 2 lbs. for the last month. People kept asking/telling me I was still losing but I wasn't. The measurements were changing though...clothes fitting different, more visible curve to the waist. The scale may not reflect what is changing, but there very well could still be changes going on. Hang in there!
