Strength training tends to be very light on your system (in the cardiovascular sense). You may work up a sweat, but it doesn't really speed up your heart much. In the very beginning you may notice a slight weight loss/gain, but after that you're not going to notice too much from weight training alone. Its basically because its short bursty movements as opposed to prolonged, continuous movements.

It also tends to burn a lot of glycogen, which means it never really hits fat as an energy source.

Yup....I entered just the static moves I did and earned nada in the calories. But! If you do, for example, 10 reps of push ups, crunches, and squats THEN do either 30 jumping jacks or jump rope for 30 seconds or any other cardio-like activity between sets, it speeds up your heart rate and helps you burn fat. That's considered Circuit training, which does count in the calorie department.

    Greetings!

You do burn calories weight training...at the exercise tab...in the cardio section above the weight training entry...the entries for the weight training below the cardio tab are so you can see how you progress...hope you understand my explanation and can find the entry.

Yes, Fat Dancer is right, enter your weight training under "cardio" and it will show calories burned, you need to eat those calories to fuel your body.
