I absolutly loooove smoothies! I'm looking for any recipes you guys may have. I love basically any kind of fruit and yogurt so whatever you guys have I am willing to try!!

Comment or message me with the recipes! (if you know the calories please put that to!) Thanks everyone!

Also, I am trying to avoid adding protein right now as I don't think it is the best for me just yet.

I just do a scoop of Biochem Whey Protein Vanilla, with about a cup frozen sliced bananas and about a 1/2 cup water in my magic bullet. LOVE IT!!!

If you use less water it makes banana fro yo

    Adaptations:
Add cocoa powder to get some chocolately.
Also can do 1/2 bananas and 1/2 strawberries.
I know some people instead of protein powder just do bananas and PB2.

    1/4 cup of frozen strawberries
Juice of 1 lemon - fresh
Juice of 1 orange - fresh
    1/3 of medium banana
    1/2 an avacado
    3cups of spinach

This one is just in time for fall... It's more a "shake" than a smoothie, but still awesome =)

    Pumpkin Pie Shake:
1 cup fat free vanilla yogurt (can be greek)
4 T canned pumpkin (not the sweetened kind)
    1 t vanilla extract
    1 t sweetener (I use stevia)
    1/2 c fat free cool-whip
    dash cinnamon
1 t pumpkin pie spice (you can add more to flavor)
    hand full of ice cubes

Throw everything in a blender and enjoy =)
[You can adjust the amount of ingredients if you want a stronger/duller pumpkin taste]

You can top with some extra whipped cream and crumbled graham crackers for more of a "pie" feel :drinker:

I tried one the other day just for the helluv it. Costco sells individual serving size bags on freeze dried fruit. I was trying to come up with a way to use the apples, strawberries, and bananas in a smoothie. I also bought some Dannon Cherry Greek yogurt that I wasn't a huge fan of because the fruit chunks were too big.

So I tossed in the Dannon Cherry Greek Yogurt, freeze dried strawberries and bananas, about a cup of vanilla almond milk and enough ice to give it a nice consistency. It was awesome!

Ooohh... drop the Sunny D immediately!! there is no orange juice in the whole bottle!!

My brother used to drink a ton of it and the skin on his hands and feet turned orange!!!

I like using greek yogurt, milk and whatever flavor (I've done a tbsp of peanut butter and a tbsp of cocoa.. with a tsp of honey and a few ice cubes! It's pretty decent!)

I'm pretty boring compared to some of the others here but also am living on a budget so the fewer ingredients the better. I also make a big batch because my kids drink it too.

    1 1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup fat free or low fat plain yogurt
    2 cups frozen strawberries
2 frozen ripe bananas (I put overly ripe bananas in the freezer to use for smoothies instead of banana bread)

Simple, easy and tastey. Bananas sweeten it enough for me that I don't need to add a sweetner or use flavored yogurt. Helps keep the calories down. I also sometimes add some EVOO to mine (2 tsp).

Lately I've been making oatmeal and chia seed based smoothies, You have to let them sit in the fridge for at least four hours to soften up so I just make a bunch on sunday night and my bf and I drink them during the week. Each batch serves two and are about 300 calories a serving. the one I had today for breakfast was:
    Old-fashioned oats
    chia seeds
    applesauce
greek yogurt (I use honey flavored because then I don't have to add extra sweetner)
    PB2
    almond milk
    cinnamon
I also really like strawberry banana, blueberries and pomegranete juice, and strawberry banana. I want to try one with mango soon.
