Hi.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows the answer to the following question:

I keep track of my sugar, fiber and carbohydrate count, and I subtract the soluble fiber from my carb count, do I need to ADD the sugar to my carbohydrate count, or is it already counted?

Thank You to all who reply!

honestly, I believe in the US, sugar and fiber are sub categories of carbohydrates. If you are loosely following Atkins, I would just hide the sugar tracker. From what I understand, it is set way too low--at the amount for ADDED sugar instead of total sugar, so it is almost impossible to stay under.
  • Carbohydrates includes fiber and sugars, so yes, if you subtract fiber from total carbs you'll get net carbs. No need to add in the sugar. :)
