Another newbie to the forums looking for traveling friends

I signed up for the MFP app a while ago on my phone, and only recently realized there was lots more and a community on the website.

I've never been a super fit or thin person, but was always active enough to be fairly comfortable and feel pretty healthy.

At 37, I realized I've put on 20 pounds in one year of a new job that has me traveling and eating out more than I'm home. I've impulse joined a chain gym I can use nationwide and have been sticking with it for a month now after a scary day at my job when I realized I wasn't in good enough shape to handle the stairs I had to climb for work.

I'd love to find some other friends on MFP who are trying to get in better shape while traveling - and can share encouragement about finding time to workout and eat better between airports and diners and client entertainment dinners.

    In my last job I also travelled a lot and had many meals at airports and hotels, adding to the fact that living alone (cooking for one is a hassle) I ended up eating too much fast food! This greatly contributed to my weight gain, and loss of physical form.
