I guess its an American term but what measurement is a cup of water?
It's only so I log my water intake more accurately to something I can relate to.
Would most say 250ml is a cup?

I also assume a cup is 250ml.
If I drink a 2l bottle of water a day, I log that as my 8 cups.0 -
1 cup = 8 oz = 250.05 ml
Thank you, google.0 -
1 US cup is 237 ml often rounded to 240 ml0

I drink :drinker: atleast 4-5 20oz bottles of water a day.. I was always told to drink atleast 64oz of water a day.So I guess I am drinking around 80 oz a day... I don't know much about the ml thing.. Just remember that WATER is one of the most important things in weight loss.. :drinker:0

I class my water consumption in 750/800ml glasses. So 8 glasses is 6 litres.

it is like a mug of coffee but different !0

According to American studies you should drink 2 litres/8 cups of water a day. So 250ml.0

8 ounces or 240 ml:bigsmile:0

I count 1 pint as 2 cups, so i try and drink 4 pints per day.0

Probably should have specified where you live :P a 'cup' is measured differently in Canada / UK / USA. Just as an aside, due to this difference it's really important that when tracking food you are tracking the right 'size' of cup consistently.0

Yes, but that is necessary because of your dry senses of humor.0 -
Yeah...I googled, too. Seems half a pint is one cup...so four pints or more per day.
"It comes in PINTS?!" (Quote from Lord of the Rings that I couldn't help but post...I'm such a Geek!)0 -
A cup of water is 8 oz, but I recently saw a doctor because of a kdney stone. I asked for clarification and when _ # of glasses a day is recommended, apparently that's a 10-12 oz glass of water, NOT 8 oz.0

Thank you, google.
I stand corrected. I've never heard of a metric cup. I should do more googling as well.0 -
I will never understand why we Americans decided to use our own measuring system that confuses the rest of the world, and vice versa. What was wrong with metric? lol0
