I'm very curious about intermittent fasting. I understand how it works but I'm not sure how to do it exactely. Should I eat in 'windows' or just not eat for 24h 2 days a week. What's been your experience with it? What has been your eating schedual? Has it really sped up your fat burning?

it worked well for me. However, going back to eating whenever I wanted to works better.0

join the if group. Some people do it just for the potential health benefits as those guys tend to be older. Others use it as a way of not having to think about food every 3 hours. You can be more productive that way. If your busy at work then u have no time to think about food. Tends to be harder to fast on weekends as ur bored so u got more time to think about food.
If u are trying to lose weight then u still have to eat at a deficit but people on IF count the entire week calories instead of 1 day. Breaking fast can also cause some diherrea so break fast with a fruit, salad, and some carbs before fat and proteins. I hear it's because ur dugestive system has to lubricate itself again with fats0 -
I have been following the 24 hr twice weekly IF system since February this year and have lost over 25 lbs and found it easy to keep off You can follow my progress here

I didn't like the look of alternative day fasting as I think not sustainable (for me) long term.
I did/do 16/8 known as leangains (www.leangains.com) and found it incredibly easy. You fast for 16 hrs and feed in an 8 hr window, for me 2-10pm suits me best.
I have a couple of friends who do 16/8 and chuck in 1 or 2 full 24 hr fasts and they are seeing great weight loss.
I started 20/4 known as the Warrior Diet. Although it has many benefits I found it harder than 16/8. At moment I'm probably doing a 50/50 split between 16/8 and 20/4.
I'm looking to maintain my weight so was very surprised to see a 5lb weight loss in 3 weeks, so I firmly believe IF has sped up my metabolism.
Overall, life-changing for me. After all these years I am in total control of my food, and found a program that I can stick to for the long haul.0 -
I leaned out on a 16/8 split, but put on weight overall. If I didn't ever need to make weight for various sports, I wouldn't care.
But, I started out pretty lean and I'm a strength athlete, so it's probably a results-not-typical.0 -
I've been doing the 5:2 version for just over a month (5 days in the week eating sensibly, 2 days fasting - not consecutive).
Seems to be working as I'm both lighter and leaner and not as hard as I thought to get through the fast days My profile has a link to some background info. f.y.i. fast days are c. 500 cals for women, 600 for men.0
