Hey everyone,
I'm trying to cut out Luna Bars from my morning pre-workout routine. Truthfully I want to cut out any protein bar if possible.
The following requirements need to be met for said breakfast as well..

Between 200-250 calories
High protein
between 10-30g carbs
ideally would love to prepare in advance
needs to be easily eaten on the go (i have a 35 minute drive to the gym at 4:45am)

I think that's all for now...

Thanks for the help!!

Have you thought of hard boiling some eggs the night before? THen you can take two and maybe a cheese stick and/ or some toast to go.

You can also do a natural pb and whole wheat toast with a banana. That takes about 2 seconds to put together.
  • Home made protein bars are a better alternative really easy to make. YouTube Ashley Horner home made protein bars.

Otherwise a protein shake with an apple will work.

Smoothie! You can add frozen fruit, a scoop of protein powder, a banana, milk (cow, soy, almond, coconut.. whatever!) and then drink it on the go. I can usually only stomach about a quarter of it before an early morning workout, but if you drink the whole thing you'll get the calorie allotment you need! I even have a smoothie cup that is a blender, so I just make it in there and can just bring it with me.

I opted to make some homemade protein bars. Love love love them.

I made 2 weeks worth of protein bars and 1.5 weeks worth of my oatmeal waffles.
