Any one else worried about this?

K so I'm still young (21) and I have not yet had a child. I worry about losing all this weight and most likely getting an upper body lift and then becoming pregnant shortly after. This obviously isn't going to stop me from pursuing this journey, but it makes me wonder if I'll have to end up doing it all over again after I'm done having kids. What plans do you guys have to not gain your weight back with the things to come in life? It doesn't have to be related to pregnancy but maintaning your goal weight with all the twists and turns life takes (especially for us women who plan on having children in the future)?

Why would you get an upper body lift? You're young.

Lose the weight first, slow and steady. Worry about plastic surgery later. You might be surprised what your young body looks like after the weight loss.

EDIT: Oh yeah, making your weight loss a permanent life change. Adjust as life changes. That's how it stays intact. It needs to be something you can do forever.

    Shallow impression of life!

Would stick with looking after yourself and forget about having kids!

I'm young ... But I've lost 70 lbs before when I was just 18 and had problems with saggy skin then.. Even after gaining it all back (and some)I have saggy skin. My breast are saggier than my mothers (who is 56), so with that being said, I am getting a breast lift regardless and most likely a tummy tuck.

Don't use pregnancy as an excuse to eat like a pig and you'll be just fine. I have an 8 year old. <<<<That is me in that photo.

I don't know how on earth I have a shallow impression on life but you can stick to your assumptions. Having kids is my biggest goal in life, whether my body becomes altered from it or not. My question was simply how people plan on remaining healthy with all the things that come along with life... And I want to be healthy for my children above anything, so I can be around for them.

Like I said look after you first!

Do what makes you feel happy, because you will have a hard time being pregnant or caring for children if you are so concerned with yourself. Like you say you are only 21 you have time to think about others as you grow up!

I recommend achieving all your goals pre baby. You can get a tummy tuck after you have your kids. If you get a tuck then have pregnancies, chances are you will get bad stretch marks and have to get another tuck. IMO, you can get your boobs done pre kids and you should be fine after.

YES your body is going to change with pregnancy's, child birth and age.

YES you will have to work your entire life at being healthy and the best you can be.

The older you get the slower your metabolism will be, the harder it will be to lose weight and you will lose muscle mass.

    It's a fact of life.

It is HARD work and self discipline at any age.

Plastic surgery...that's up to you....but yes you may want to repeat it after you go through your pregnancies...

Depends on the person. I've had no plastic surgery so far. Although I do no expect myself to look 22, or have a flat tummy...just try to be healthy.

sorry hun, it did come across as being harsh, now I read it back. Bu what I meant is to try to sort out your own issues first with the way you are feeling about your body issues before you think about getting pregnant x
