Losing weight for fertility

One of the main reasons I want to lose weight is to increase my fertility. When I went in for a checkup the nurse said I might have PCOS, but I want to work through all of my health issues medicine free. I have irregular periods. Does anyone have tips for women struggling to lose weight?

I don't have PCOS but due to my struggles with fertility I know quite a bit about how weight really impacts fertility. So, first of all, way to go with the weight loss you have had and losing as little as 5-10% of your body weight can improve your chances of getting and staying pregnant! If you decide to chart your cycles and need any help, I would be happy to help you out.

So, to answer your question, when you find yourself wanting to cave, quit, or overeat, think of how sticking to your plan will improve your chances of motherhood exponentially!

Good luck with your journey to motherhood! If you want support with trying to conceive, there is a wonderful community of ladies at www.ttccommunity.com

  • I am not currently trying to conceive I am mostly just trying to get healthy so my body functions at full capacity :) I never feel normal because of my irregularity. I would like to start charting though so I know if I am even ovulating at all. Do you have any tips or advice?
