Bananas, apples & raisins oh my!

These are some of my diet staples. But, now I'm reading that they are full of sugar, especially bananas which are high in carbs. Should these be given up? What types of fruits are best? Ugh, I'm so confused!

hey!
fruit is awesome. i don't cut out fruit, ever.
raisins and bananas are very high on the GI list... i would limit your intake on those. and apple a day is fine though.
if youre going to have bananas or raisins, try to have them post workout to put the carbs to good use.
the best fruits to have are berries.
here is a link to GI chart. lower the GI, the better

An apple a day keeps the Dr away.............. :flowerforyou:
Go easy on the grapes, bananas, raisins, pineapple, mango, etc
Stone fruits (peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines, etc) are great to eat.
Cherries, berries and melons are also great.0 -

Thank you! I adore peaches, I don't think I have had a plum or nectarine before, berries are amazing!0 -
Why does she need to go easy on bananas, grapes, pineapples and mangoes? I don't eat many raisins myself but those tend to have added refined sugar. The others if they are fresh give you carbs but they are natural and I don't see a problem with eating nutrient dense low calorie foods.0
