So...my husband doesnt need to loose weight. Hes at a healthy weight at 6' 0" 190 lbs...but he eats CRAP! Yes I cook it for him so im half guilty but he wont eat anything other than the unhealthy fat ladden high sodium crap. Well he has problems with kidney stones. He had a bad episode for 2 days about 2 years ago...the dr sent him for an ultrasound and found he has 3 in his left and 2 more in his right! Well he did stop drinking 6 cans of soda a day when he found that out....he stopped it all together. But his diet didnt change and I couldnt get him to change it. Now with him going through another horrible attack, hes ready to change his diet! So my question is...what is the reccomended daily nutrition intake for a 39yo male 6ft tall 190 to maintain weight and have proper nutrition...and what can I cook him that he will actually stick to eating?

You could create him a profile on here or look up his BMR/TDEE to figure out how much he should be eating.

I would just suggest his meals consisting of some type of meat, a large portion of veggies and go light on anything starchy. Go for leaner meats and avoid adding too much oils and sauces/dressings whenever possible. Remove any 'junk' snack foods that are easy to eat mindlessly on the couch like chips, cookies, etc and work with him to figure out other options he enjoys (like carrots in hummus).

I thought of having him get on here...but he wont stick to it. I swear the man has to have me do it all for him or he would be lost. One day I dindt cook dinner, and he didnt eat till 9pm cause he didnt know what to eat! lol...He hates carrots...turns his nose up at anything like hummus, soy etc...even though hes never tried it, its crap to him! Its gonna be so hard cooking healthy for this man! Hates sweet potatos...he does like most veggies though. Thats a start!

Divorce seems like the best option.
