Online Depression Help Site

Hi,
No, I'm not needing help (though with the way the weather is of late I might well do soon!), but letting people know about a site which might help them. I am in NO WAY associated with it. I learnt about it via a trial I did for the University of York where they were testing none drug related, online treatments for depression. As a result of these trials, they have determined that the online treatments are effective (though obviously not for severe depression) and I know the one I trialled (Beating the Blues) was effective.
This online course is 6 weeks in length and contains homework. Its CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) based and that has been found time and again to be effective in dealing with depression's root causes in many case. The course is free and anonymous and you work at your own pace. Its also useful for people with low self esteem and difficulties interacting with others...which I'm figuring is "more than a couple" on here.
Anyway, if anyone is interested, Google "Moodygym" (https://www.moodgym.anu.edu.au/welcome) and have a read. It cant hurt and it might help. I've not completed it as yet (I'm just starting it), but I have read the data from the trial and many people on the trial found it helped them.
Like I say, I'm not in any way associated with this. I was part of their trial (as I suffered from depression in the past) and found it effective. It seems a significant number of people on MFP mention "depression" in their posts or profiles or having difficulty with meeting others and self image, so I thought I would put it out there. Hopefully I've made it clear its not for severe depression or mental problems (before anyone pops on and says its rubbish) and that it "may" help. It may not, but its free and just takes a little time to find out.
