Woke up today feeling down and depressed
Even found it a struggle to get my self dressed
My 11 month old son had an unsettled night
Which left me this morning feeling not quite right
Can't go for a walk as it's raining and cold
Looked in the mirror looking fat and old
So looking for friends with words of advice
To improve my mood make me feel nice

My husband likes to tell me, "When it hurts, hurt it back." He's mostly saying that when I'm breaking my *kitten* doing calisthenics, but I think it applies to depression, too. Try doing something that makes you feel more in charge, like having a light calorie day or even doing your own calisthenics in the house if it's too cold to go outside. You can beat the blues!
Oh, and BTW, you writing in verse reminds me of one of my favorite authors, Vikram Seth. And being compared to him is definitely a compliment.0 -

I have just taken out my anger and frustrations on my cross trainer, am now sweating like turkey the day before thanks giving. Thanks for your advice and also for the compliment :-)0

YAY! (although it isn't quite 7am here... I haven't even had breakfast... seems early for lunch)
I am stuck on the couch due to a broken foot... wishing I could have a physical workout... a friend of mine is trying to convince me to write a book... a mental workout may be in order0 -
Its nearly 1pm here in England lol. Writing a book sounds like a great way to occupy your time whilst you incapacitated. I too have been told to wtite a book maybe we could inspire each otherbnot only to get fit but creative too.0
