protein shakes are always good. Nuts, but avoid peanuts, they're way high in fat, go for almonds, pistachios, and pecans. Cheese, but don't over due it, usually one "string cheese" is good, add that with an apple. Dry popcorn, it's high in fiber, you can add some garlic, or find some popcorn flavoring at your local grocery store. you can also find some high protein pudding at your local supplement shop, if you have a craving for chocolate. Granola bars and protein bars are always good, just watch the fat content. There are several "light" protein bars, and really good granola bars out there, you just have to check the labels. Dark chocolate, is another good item, again in moderation, but it has many health benefits. I hope this helps curb, your sweet, or salty cravings.0

I have a blog up and running with some great recipes that I use!! http://fitandtoneforlife.blogspot.com
That may help you get started :0) If you need any more advice message me!!0 -
Try the raw foods section of your local health foods grocery. They usually have snacks made of nuts/seeds/berries and sweetened with raw honey.
You could also make your own beef jerky as a snack without all the additives, or buy a "paleo" version of beef jerky that doesn't include all the bad stuff.
I love these and stash them everywhere. They're tasty, and satisfy the urge to just chew on something. They're local to me, but you can order online:
http://nakededgesnacks.com/veggiegos.html
Trail mix you make from your favorite nuts, seeds, dried fruit.
Hard-boiled eggs.
But mostly, snacks are fruits and veggies if you're eating clean. You can make lots of yummy dips by adding just about anything to plain greek yogurt. I love adding green goddess herbs or pesto to yogurt for an herby dip, or sriracha to yogurt for a quick and easy spicy dip.
A teaspoon of coconut manna when you just need some extra fat/cals for the day, or any nut butter (cashew, almond).0 -

I make my own salsa, and cream cheese & I love to have it in the morning or for a snack with my avocado... I cut the avocado in half, put some cream cheese & salsa in side and EAT! beyond good!!! keeps me energized half the day!
I also try to live by WHOLE CLEAN FOOD principal.. though there are some things my family is not able to do all at once financially, and a few things I choose (such as my beloved canned tuna) lol.
The snacks are endless.. Flax crackers and home-made almond butter are my best friend Hit me up if you want a few recipes.0 -
I'm a big fan of almonds and hard boiled eggs. I also eat a ton of fruit and veggies, so I stick with them as snacks.0

If you need something to sustain you more, I like to ad a tsp - tbsp of fresh chia seeds to any lowfat/fat free yogurt. They help keep me full and have a lot of other health benefits such as omega 3 and fiber, potasium and magnesium. they actually have more omega 3 than fish which is great for me since I am not too cazy about fish besides tuna and fishsticks (which are a no-no now :[ )

You might want to research "clean eating" a little more before giving out advise here. Telling someone to eat nuts but avoid peanuts makes no sense. They are not higher in fat than other nuts and would certainly fall under the "clean eating" heading. Clean eating refers to eating a whole foods type diet with lots of unprocessed foods, which wouldn't include most protein bars or popcorn flavorings or anything labeled "light".0 -
Dried fruits, nuts and seeds. granola with a piece of fruit and honey (so delicious!). Smoothies.0

Whilst I agree with avoiding processed bars and manufactured whatnot the advice to avoid peanuts is solid, peanuts are legumes which have potential health issues far beyond fat content. Consuming dietary natural fat in the absence of excess carbohydrate is not an issue in any case.
Why so much peanut allergy these days? Same reason as gluten ... We ain't meant to eat this stuff.
Clean snacks for me ... Hard-boiled eggs, raw nuts (not peanuts) and tinned tuna.0 -
