You know you're a runner when the treads of your shoes are gone in two months. What brand suggestions do you have? I'm hoping to find some with higher mileage. I average about 70 to 150 miles per month. Thanks in advance!

I've been running in Asics for a number of years and find they stand up well but the most important consideration when selecting shoes is that they're right for your gait. I use a neutral cushioning shoe that works great for me but may be entirely inappropriate for you.

The other aspect is fit. Every company uses slightly different lasts, you may need a roomier toe box than me/or narrower arch or any other minor fit differences.

My best suggestion is a visit to your local running specialty store, they should be able to set you up with the right shoe.

i just bought my first pair of real running shoes (was fitted for them) i ended up with brooks glycerin 9. love them but can't tell you how long they are going to last since it hasn't even been a full month oh and i'm not running nearly as much as you are. :)
