New to the site. I suppose I should give a little info, and if you wanna be my friend, awesome (:
I am a full time college student living in a dorm, with a part-time job off campus. I recently gave up playing a sport because of personal reasons, so now I have all of that exercising opportunity gone. I'm one of those people that likes to busy myself, and I like to stay organized. I am looking for people on here to help motivate me - ever since I've started college (this is my 2nd year), I've managed to gain close to 30 lbs. ACK! I was also diagnosed with depression the summer before my freshmen year of college, so that might have contributed somewhat to my weight gain (people keep saying the medicine can make you gain, and as easy as that would be to say, I don't want that to be an excuse. I'M the reason that I am overweight) I am determined, with some MFP friends, to stay motivated, and find ways to workout without a nearby gym/workout area. Also, I would like to add some people that know recipes that are fairly simple to make, being stuck in a dorm. I am a picky eater, so I do not know how to necessarily "branch out" and try new foods.
SO, with that being said, I welcome anyone to my page who is here to motivate and be a friend in this weight loss journey. Thanks!

Sounds familiar - I was always the "fatty" among my friends -- I was in sports or working out all the time. But also eating too much fast food and drinking too many calories (but is was fun!). Hmm, 5 kids later I'd LOVE to be the size I was in college! Use your "busy" and "organizing" skils to your advantage - make a commitment to exercise daily - it will help with your depression as well. You are not alone - add me as a friend if you wish - not sure if you want "an old mom" as a friend. . . .I turn 40 tomorrow , so I am wallowing a bit, forgive me!0

College is so time consuming! You mentioned that you like to be organized, be sure to schedule yourself in your daily planner! You will do great! I am sending a request your way if you would like more motivation! Best wishes in achieving your goals!0
