Ideas for hotel-friendly foods?

I'm looking for some new ideas for eating well while on the road without a real chance to cook, anyone got any favorites to recommend?
I strongly prefer hot meals to sandwiches, so have been trying to find things I can make in my room 1 or 2 meals a day to cut down on the restaurant food. I usually can get hot water from a coffee maker, and can get a room with a mini-fridge and microwave about half the time, so refrigeration is unpredictable.
Shopping possibilities are often a truck stop or a Walmart at best.
So far I've liked:
Kashi granola bars, jerky, and fresh bananas for food in the car
Greek yogurt with added granola
Overpriced tubs of precut mango or pineapple, or pints of raspberries and blueberries
Kashi and Amy's organic frozen meals when I can find them, but those aren't widely available
Barilla whole grain pasta meals
In reality I end up with a fair amount of EasyMac, Hot Pockets, Lean Cuisine and Triscuits because I can find those anywhere.
Anyone else got any travel-food favorites?

Those little to-go peanut butter cups are awesome. Pair them up with an apple, banana, rice cake, chocolate bar...0

Thanks - I somehow hadn't known there was mini-peanut butter around!0

hummus! There is actually a snack pack with an individual portion of this (Sabra I think) that comes with pretzels. I think hummus is a great dip for crackers & almost any vegetable!0

Good reminder, thank you, for when I can find it. I love hummus and never think to get any.
And calling this a bump and hoping for more ideas. I'm at 108 days and counting this year already for travel - it's hard to eat well.0 -
Those tuna lunch packs if you like tuna. You can get them already made into salad, or the ones that you add mayo and relish that come with it. I get those usually so I can control how much I add. And campbells "soup at hand". Heats in its own cup, no need to add water.0

Jar of peanut butter - my favorite right now is Once Again Organic Crunchy peanut Butter - so good. I buy it online though.
String cheese
Nuts
Nature Valley Granola Bars
Canned tuna0 -
I hate eating when I travel, even when work is paying for it. I hate eating out alone.
Get yourself a small cooler. Every hotel has ice makers to keep it cold. Then your options really open up. Yogurt, meat, cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables. . Then your limiting factor becomes what you can cook in a microwave.0
